Be Part of the City Vibe

be-part-of-the-city-vibe.jpg

Measure your life in steps, not miles.

That's our commitment to you! Anyone who has spent time in San Diego recently can appreciate the new vibrancy of downtown. It's "the" place to be and Vantage Pointe is steps from it all.

If you're into culture, you'll love that Vantage Pointe is just one block from Copley Symphony Hall and a short walk to the Civic Theatre and Horton Plaza's Lyceum Theater. It's a leisurely stroll over to the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art's downtown annex near the Santa Fe Depot.

Sports fans will enjoy being walking distance from Petco Park. And, if you're into bowling, there's the nearby East Village Tavern & Bowl on Market between 9th and 10th Avenues.

Wine aficionados will be thrilled to have one of San Diego premier shops, San Diego Wine Bank, just blocks away. Or go down to Harbor Drive to the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center (on Wednesdays afternoons, you can bring your pooch for K9s-N-Wine happy hours).

Shoppers can pick up pretty much everything they could possibly need or desire at Horton Plaza. And, if you're looking to outfit your new home with unusual objects, World Market may have just what you're looking for, along with gourmet food and wines. Looking to do some food shopping? Well, you'll literally be living above a gourmet Safeway. In September, Venissimo Cheese is opening down the street at 9th and G. And, on Thursday afternoons, you can walk over to the Horton Square Certified Market. On Sunday mornings, you can shop at the Third Ave. Certified Farmers' Market and Asian Bazaar.

You can't possibly go hungry living downtown. Imagine enjoying a lovely steak frites with a bottle of wine at Café Chloe. Because you can. After all, you can walk home! Cowboy Star and its fabulous bison steaks are just down the street at 10th near Market. You've got some of the best hot San Diego restaurants in the Gaslamp -- JSix, Quarter Kitchen, Oceanaire, and Stingaree. The neighborhood is simply hopping with great eats of all kinds.

And, Just Minutes Away...

It doesn't take long at all to enjoy life just outside of San Diego's downtown. Walk over to the City College Trolley Station and ride the Blue Line over to Little Italy. Enjoy the Little Italy Mercato at India and Date on Saturday mornings. Shop for fresh pasta at Assenti's Pasta and Italian deli foods at Mona Lisa Deli -- then stay for lunch. Linger over a rich dessert at Extraordinary Desserts. Or enjoy a burger and chocolate shake at Burger Lounge. Peruse art at galleries along India St. and Kettner Blvd.

Just north of Vantage Pointe is Balboa Park and Hillcrest. Take your dog for a frolic at Nate's Point, one of San Diego's most wonderful dog parks. Stroll from museum to museum to museum. See a play at The Old Globe Theatre. Enjoy dinner at Avenue 5, Cucina Urbana, or Arrivederci.

Explore San Diego's other urban neighborhoods. Eclectic Golden Hill and emerging stately South Park have lots to offer--interesting restaurants like Alchemy, The Turf Supper Club, The Big Kitchen, and The South Park Grill -- as well as quaint Victorian, Craftsman, and classic Spanish homes to check out. Logan Heights is filled with authentic Mexican food that people throughout San Diego Country will travel miles to enjoy.

And, you're a short ride over the Coronado Bay Bridge to Coronado Island. Or, you can hop the ferry! Even easier.

You'll never be bored living the downtown life at Vantage Pointe.
